Job summary

Reworld is seeking an Auxiliary Operator to work with the facility control room, operating and inspecting various power plant systems to ensure efficient and safe disposal processes. The role involves monitoring boilers and auxiliary equipment, taking samples, and handling heavy industrial machinery.

Requirements include a high school diploma (preferred), 2–3 years in heavy equipment operation, and the ability to work rotating shifts. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience operating heavy industrial equipment.
• Must have the ability to work a rotating shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Operate and inspect power plant systems in accordance with safety operating procedures, including boilers, air pollution control systems, ash systems and heavy industrial equipment.
• Monitor and inspect boiler plant auxiliary equipment such as pumps, motors, fans, dampers, air compressors, valves, mixers, conveyors, turbine generators and electrical devices.
• Read data from meters, gauges and industrial measuring tools to identify trends or potential equipment disruptions.
• Monitor air pollution control equipment.
• Perform material sampling, chemistry testing and water treatment as required.
• Safely operate heavy industrial mobile equipment (cranes, skid steers, loaders, forklifts).
• Maintain correct refuse-fuel levels and appropriate refuse mix in designated pits.
• Perform additional duties to ensure safe and efficient operations.
