Job summary

Reworld Waste is seeking an Auxiliary Operator to join our Tampa facility. You will operate and inspect power plant systems, ensuring safe and efficient disposal processes in collaboration with the control room. The role requires reading meters, monitoring equipment, and performing water treatment tasks.

Candidate should have boiler operator experience, pass respiratory fit testing, and be able to work 12-hour rotating shifts. 2+ years’ experience with heavy industrial equipment is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Boiler Operator experience including minor maintenance of pumps and valves
• Must be able to pass respiratory fit tested
• Must be able to work rotating shifts
• 2+ years’ experience operating heavy industrial equipment such as Front-End Loader, skid steer, etc

Responsibilities

• Operate and inspect power plant systems in accordance with safety operating procedures.
• Monitor and inspect boiler plant auxiliary equipment, including pumps, motors, fans, dampers, air compressors, valves, mixers, conveyors, turbine generators and electrical devices
• Read and interpret data from meters, gauges, and industrial measuring tools to identify trends and/or potential equipment disruptions that impact facility operations
• Monitor air pollution control equipment
• Perform various types of material sampling, chemistry testing, and treatment of water, as required
• Safely operate heavy industrial mobile equipment, such as cranes, skid steers, loaders, and forklifts
• Responsible to maintain correct levels of refuse-fuel in operations equipment, and ensure appropriate refuse mix in designated pits and areas of operations
• Additional duties as assigned to ensure safe and efficient facility operations
