Job summary

Reworld Projects, LLC in Dickerson, MD is seeking an Auxiliary Operator to support our power plant operations on a rotating 12-hour shift. You will inspect boilers, air pollution control systems, and other heavy equipment, read meters, and ensure safe, efficient operation of the disposal process.

Responsibilities include monitoring equipment, performing sampling and chemistry testing, and safely operating heavy machinery.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2-3 years’ experience operating a boiler and heavy industrial equipment.
• Chemistry testing experience is a plus.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate and inspect power plant systems (boilers, air pollution control systems, ash systems, heavy equipment).
• Monitor auxiliary equipment: pumps, motors, fans, dampers, air compressors, valves, conveyors, turbines, electrical devices.
• Read data from meters/gauges to identify trends or disruptions.
• Monitor air pollution control equipment and perform sampling and water treatment as required.
• Safely operate heavy industrial mobile equipment (cranes, skid steers, forklifts).
• Maintain correct refuse-fuel levels and mix in designated pits and areas.
