Job summary

Luminant Power LLC in Kincaid, IL is seeking an Auxiliary Operator III to assist in the safe and efficient operation of the plant's generating units. This entry-level role provides training and guidance from senior operators and supervisors, with a pay rate of $42.47 per hour and eligibility for employee health benefits.

The role involves supporting boiler equipment, electrical switching up to 4,000 volts, and participation in the plant's fire brigade.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior operations or maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of power plant fundamentals in chemistry, physics, electricity and mathematics preferred.
• Must be able to work a 12-hour rotating shift.
• POSS/MASS program eligibility is required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Assist operation of boiler auxiliary equipment and related systems.
• Support higher level operators with complex tasks.
• Perform electrical switching up to 4,000 volts.
• Engage in housekeeping, lubrication and light maintenance.
• Operate station vehicles and participate in fire brigade duties.
