Job summary

Vistra Energy’s Luminant Power LLC unit in Kincaid, IL seeks an Auxiliary Operator III to support the safe and efficient operation of fossil plant generating units. This entry-level developmental role provides on-site guidance, training, and assignments from seasoned operators and supervisors.

The position pays $42.47 per hour and includes medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees and dependents. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to work a 12-hour rotating

Responsibilities

• Assists with the operation of boiler auxiliary equipment and related systems such as slag handling, water handling, gas recirculation fans, fire protection, and heating/cooling systems.
• Assists higher level operators with more complex tasks and performs electrical switching up to 4,000 volts.
• Performs housekeeping, lubrication and light maintenance support; operates station vehicles as needed.
• Responds to abnormal operating situations in a safe and environmentally conscious manner.
• Works a 12 hour rotating shift schedule and adheres to safety and training requirements.
