Job summary

Reworld is seeking an Auxiliary Operator to join our Washington, DC area facility team in a hands-on role supporting our power plant systems. You will operate and inspect boilers and associated equipment, monitor trends from meters and gauges, and perform sampling and water treatments to keep the disposal process running safely and efficiently.

The position requires a high school diploma, 2-3 years' experience with heavy industrial equipment, rotating shift work, and a 2nd MA Fireman license or

Qualifications

• Heavy equipment operation experience preferred.
• Experience with rotating shift schedules and safety procedures.
• 2nd MA Fireman license or higher required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and inspect power plant systems in accordance with safety procedures, including boilers, air pollution control, ash systems and heavy equipment.
• Monitor boiler plant auxiliary equipment such as pumps, motors, fans, dampers, compressors, valves, mixers, conveyors, turbines and electrical devices.
• Read meters, gauges and data to identify trends or disruptions affecting operations.
• Monitor air pollution control equipment and perform water sampling and chemistry testing as required.
• Safely operate heavy industrial mobile equipment (cranes, skid steers, loaders, forklifts).
• Perform other duties to ensure safe and efficient facility operations.
