Job summary

The Milford Power Plant Auxiliary Operator is responsible for ensuring safe and efficient operation and maintenance of plant equipment, while adhering to safety and environmental regulations. The role includes monitoring operations, performing routine inspections, supporting maintenance tasks, and documenting activities in the CMMS.

You will help develop standard operating procedures, participate in training, handle chemicals safely, and assist with start‑up and shutdowns.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in power plant machinery operations and/or maintenance.
• Basic PC skills for information processing and management.
• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor plant equipment to support safe, reliable combined-cycle operations.
• Maintain shift operating logs and records.
• Perform equipment rounds and report abnormal conditions.
• Support maintenance activities and troubleshoot as needed.
• Assist with SOP development and training.
• Follow safety procedures and use CMMS to document deficiencies and work requests.
