Job summary

NAES Corporation is seeking an Auxiliary Operator at the Milford Power Plant in Milford, MA. You will oversee safe, reliable, 24/7 operation of a 203-MW natural gas-fired combined-cycle facility and support maintenance tasks, start-up/shutdowns, and CMMS documentation.

The role requires experience in power plant operations, strong troubleshooting abilities, and adherence to safety regulations. A high school diploma is required, with Massachusetts licensure potential pursued as needed.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in power plant machinery operations and/or maintenance.
• Fundamental understanding of CCGT power plant and/or water process operations.
• Proven troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
• Basic PC skills for information processing.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor plant equipment and systems to support safe, reliable combined-cycle operations.
• Maintain accurate shift operating logs and records, ensuring clear documentation of plant conditions and activities.
• Perform regular equipment rounds, record critical instrument readings, and promptly report abnormal conditions.
• Support maintenance activities by assisting with inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment isolation as required.
• Assist with development, review, and implementation of standard operating procedures and work instructions.
• Follow safety procedures, identify hazards, and take corrective actions as approved by management.
