Job summary

Reworld in Dickerson, MD is seeking an Auxiliary Operator to support the plant by safely operating and inspecting power systems and auxiliary equipment. You will monitor boilers and pollution control components, read meters, and interpret data to prevent disruptions while handling heavy machinery and maintaining fuel mixes per safety standards.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or equivalent and 2–3 years of experience with heavy industrial equipment; on-site shifts and rotating

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• 2–3 years’ experience operating heavy industrial equipment.
• Ability to read meters, gauges and interpret data trends for operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and inspect power plant systems safely in accordance with procedures.
• Monitor boiler auxiliary equipment: pumps, fans, dampers, compressors, valves, conveyors.
• Read data from meters and gauges to identify trends and potential disruptions.
• Safely operate heavy industrial mobile equipment: cranes, skid steers, forklifts.
• Maintain correct refuse-fuel levels and mix in designated pits and areas.
