Job summary

Onward Energy seeks an Analyst for Power Markets & Origination in a hybrid NY or Denver role. This entry-level position supports energy settlements, revenue contract compliance, trading support, REC portfolio management, and market research.

The successful candidate will build expertise on PPAs, hedges, and ISO settlement tariffs, while assisting with reporting, invoicing, and portfolio optimization. Collaboration spans Asset Managers, Engineers, Accountants and Attorneys in a team‑oriented

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with quantitative focus; experience may substitute.
• 0–2 years in energy markets, settlements, accounting, finance, or related field.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel for building and analyzing complex models.
• Familiarity with North American organized electricity markets (CAISO/NYISO/etc.).
• Strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Understand commercial revenue contracts including PPAs, energy hedges, and options.
• Track compliance obligations, deliverables, and log communications across the portfolio.
• Conduct market research and analysis on bidding strategies and structured products.
• Support daily bidding strategy and confirm bid submissions.
• Manage settlement reconciliation and invoicing for diverse energy projects.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for Power Markets & Origination.
