Job summary

David Evans and Associates, Inc. is seeking a Power Market Leader in Seattle, WA or Portland, OR to lead regional Power market strategy and expand utility relationships.

You will drive business development, manage client engagements, and coordinate with leadership to secure opportunities across power utilities, renewables, and related sectors. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience required.
• Minimum of 12 years of related experience in a complex consulting, professional services, or similar organization.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve expected net sales results between $2M and $10M, or comparable business development results for a group of similar size and scope.
• Experience providing leadership, management, and coordination of business development efforts, including developing leads, supporting BD visioning and strategy, and converting opportunities into sales.
• Strong business management skills, including the ability to establish clear objectives, deliver measurable results, monitor pipeline performance, and support sales forecasting.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively, develop staff or client teams, and gain support from multiple stakeholders.
• Experience coordinating contract negotiations or pursuit strategy with management while adhering to internal contracting, risk, and business development processes.
• Active involvement in one or more professional organizations, industry groups, committees, or special project teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional Power market strategy in partnership with Energy Business Unit leadership and internal partners.
• Expand and deepen existing utility relationships by positioning the firm as a trusted advisor and strategic partner.
• Develop and maintain market intelligence on client priorities, funding streams, industry trends, and opportunities.
• Drive business development strategy including pursuit planning, go/no-go discussions, and proposal development for priority opportunities.
• Serve as a senior client-facing leader, building trusted relationships across utility, federal, public, and industrial clients.
• Champion client experience by ensuring clear expectations, effective communication, and high-quality delivery.
• Coordinate with project managers and delivery teams to support pursuit planning, staffing, risk management, and project delivery.
• Monitor market performance including sales results, pipeline health, and profitability.
• Partner on recruiting, retention, and talent development to grow the Power market.
