TotalEnergies is seeking a Senior Market Compliance Analyst (Power) to oversee surveillance, regulatory analysis, and advisory support for trading activities in North American power markets. You will monitor multiple markets, translate complex rules into practical guidance, and support governance and training initiatives.

This role requires a strong analytical mindset, 5–8+ years in energy trading compliance, and hands-on experience with trade surveillance, data analytics, and tariff

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
• 5–8+ years in energy trading compliance, surveillance, or regulatory advisory.
• Strong knowledge of North American wholesale electricity and gas markets.
• Experience interpreting FERC/CFTC regulations and market-conduct rules.

Responsibilities

• Conduct surveillance of physical and financial power trading activities and markets.
• Analyze trading activity across PJM, ERCOT, CAISO, MISO, and others for compliance risks.
• Review alerts, investigate anomalies, and elevate issues when needed.
• Develop and enhance reports, dashboards, and automated monitoring tools.
• Provide regulatory guidance to traders, originators, schedulers, and commercial teams.
• Support training, governance, and control enhancements across the business.
