Job summary

Pangea, Houston-based partner with a global energy trading firm, seeks a Compliance Team member to join on-site. The role covers market surveillance, regulatory analysis, investigations, risk assessment, and delivering business advisory across major North American power markets.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience in energy trading compliance, FERC/CFTC requirements, and a proven ability to develop trade surveillance tools using SQL, Python, Power BI, or Alteryx.

Qualifications

• Experience in energy trading compliance and market surveillance.
• Strong knowledge of North American wholesale power markets and FERC/CFTC.
• Experience with FTRs, virtual trading, congestion products, bilateral markets.
• Strong analytical and data skills; experience with SQL, Python, Power BI, Alteryx or similar tools.
• Experience creating trade surveillance tools.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on role covering market surveillance, regulatory analysis, investigations, risk assessment.

We'vepartnered with a prestigious global energy trading firm in Houston that is seeking an addition to their Compliance Team.
This is a hands-on role covering market surveillance, regulatory analysis, investigations, risk assessment, and business advisory, with exposure to markets including PJM, ERCOT, CAISO, MISO, SPP, NYISO and ISO-NE.
Ideal background:

• Experience inenergy trading compliance, market surveillance, regulatory affairs, risk, or a related function
• Strong knowledge of North American wholesale power markets and FERC/CFTC requirements
• Experience with FTRs, virtual trading, congestion products, bilateral power and organized markets
• Strong analytical/data skills; experience with SQL, Python, Power BI, Alteryx or similar tools
• Experience creating trade surveillance tools
