Job summary

Strativ Group in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Mechanical Engineer – Power Infrastructure to join as its first product moves toward commercial deployment at scale. You’ll design hands-on with high-power equipment and contribute across mechanical and electrical aspects in a lab setting.

You will tackle thermal, structural and packaging challenges, create drawings and BOMs with SolidWorks, and participate in CFD/FEA, prototyping and testing toward DFMEA and DVP&R.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience developing products such as switchgear, breakers, transfer switches, UPS or power-electronics equipment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Understanding NEC/UL requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Mechanical design and system integration of high-power equipment.
  • Address thermal, structural and packaging challenges.
  • Create drawings, BOMs and specifications.
  • Perform CFD/FEA, prototyping and testing.
  • Contribute to DFMEA and DVP&R processes.
  • Hands-on involvement from testing through to deployment.
  • Work with both mechanical and electrical engineering.
