Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our Power & Industrial team in Bothell, WA or Exton, PA. You will develop constructible structural designs for new plants and retrofits, covering foundations, concrete and steel supports, and dynamic analysis for safety and performance.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, manage design packages, and ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with emphasis in structural engineering.
Experience with design codes and standards (IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC, OSHA).
Proficiency with FEM-based structural analysis software (RISA/STAAD).
Experience with site visits, design packages, and coordination with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Execute structural designs for power generation facilities and retrofits, including concrete and steel structures and foundations.
Coordinate design activities to support project schedules and participate in site visits, estimating efforts, and meetings.
Prepare technical project specifications for materials, fabrication, and installation.
Support construction phase with RFIs, submittals review, site inspections, and documentation.
