About the Role

As a Power HVAC Mechanic (Service Tech II) within the Power/HVAC division at United Rentals, you'll perform maintenance and minor repairs on equipment in a safe and professional manner. Responsibilities include maintaining and repairing diesel engines, HVAC equipment, and dehumidification/air purification equipment. This role offers opportunities for growth into higher-level Tech roles within our Service Department, emphasizing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment
• Service documentation
• Occasional travel to customer sites
• Demonstrate equipment to customers
• Assist with equipment and parts pickup/delivery
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of experience with repairing and maintaining diesel engines or HVAC equipment
• Intermediate skills in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, pneumatic systems
• Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams
• Own the necessary tools for the position
• Excellent customer service, teamwork, and communication skills
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs
