As a Power HVAC Mechanic (Service Tech II) within the Power/HVAC division at United Rentals, you'll perform maintenance and minor repairs on equipment in a safe and professional manner. Your responsibilities include maintaining and repairing diesel engines, HVAC equipment, and dehumidification/air purification equipment. This role offers daily opportunities for growth and skill development, with potential to advance to higher-level technician roles in our Service Department. Providing exceptional customer service is a key expectation for all team members.

What you'll do:

1. Maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment and tools.
2. Complete service documentation accurately.
3. Travel occasionally to customer sites as needed.
4. Demonstrate equipment for customers.
5. Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.
6. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

1. High School diploma or equivalent.
2. 1-2 years of experience repairing and maintaining diesel engines or HVAC equipment.
3. Intermediate diagnostic and repair skills for mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, pneumatic, and other systems.
4. Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams.
5. Own the tools applicable to the position.
6. Excellent customer service, teamwork, and communication skills.
7. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
8. Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

This position is deemed Safety Sensitive under United Rentals' policies.
