Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Power-Generation Equipment Repairer to provide reliable power for Army operations, day or night. You will perform preventive maintenance on generation equipment, replace voltage regulators or circuit cards, and adjust frequencies and voltages to optimize efficiency, keeping systems ready in field conditions.

Training lasts about 10 weeks of Basic Training and 12 weeks of Advanced Individual Training, with paid paychecks, and benefits including tuition

Qualifications

• Experience with maintenance on power generation equipment and related electrical systems.
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics to diagnose issues.
• Willingness to learn, follow safety procedures, and work in field conditions.

• Perform maintenance on tactical utility power-generation sets and related equipment.
• Replace voltage regulators, governors, or circuit cards as needed.
• Adjust frequencies and voltages per manuals to improve efficiency and reliability.
