Job summary

The DC Army National Guard is seeking a Power-Generation Equipment Repairer to support mission-critical power systems. You’ll perform preventive maintenance, replace voltage regulators, governors, and circuit cards, and adjust frequencies and voltages as needed.

You’ll train for 10 weeks Basic Training and ~12 weeks Advanced Individual Training, earning a regular paycheck during service and qualifying for tuition assistance and benefits.

Qualifications

• Maintenance on power-generation sets and related equipment.
• Familiar with generators, governors, regulators and electrical systems.
• Willing to learn instrumentation and troubleshooting procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on tactical utility power-generation sets and related equipment.
• Ensure electrical safety and proper operation of power systems.
