Job summary

DC Army National Guard seeks a Power-Generation Equipment Repairer to support military operations by maintaining and repairing power-generation equipment. Training includes 10 weeks of Basic Training and ~12 weeks of Advanced Individual Training with classroom and field components.

You will gain skills in generator operations, electrical distribution, and diesel generator maintenance, with opportunities for tuition assistance and flexible benefits through the Guard.

Qualifications

• Enlistment in Army National Guard or equivalent required.
• Must be at least a high school graduate (HS diploma or GED).
• Must be physically able to pass a medical and aptitude screening.
• Actual MOS and assignments depend on training and MOS availability.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on tactical utility and power-generation sets and related equipment.
• Inspect and test electrical generation and distribution systems.
• Disassemble, inspect and maintain diesel generators and components.
• Adjust frequencies and voltages as per technical publications to optimize equipment performance.
