Job summary

Diamondback Energy seeks a Power Generation Technician to support its power generation assets in Midland, TX, focusing on uptime and reliability. Responsibilities include inspecting fuel gas systems, monitoring propane usage, coordinating with Operations and vendors, and documenting maintenance findings to drive continuous improvement.

The role requires 3–5 years hands-on experience in power generation (oilfield preferred), strong problem-solving skills, and a valid driver’s license to operate

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on power generation experience, including 2+ years in oilfield operations.
• Strong mechanical, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting skills.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be eligible for company insurance coverage.
• Ability to read P&IDs, isometrics, and circuit diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and troubleshoot generator fuel, air, cooling, electrical and control systems.
• Coordinate generator inspections, maintenance, and repairs with Operations and vendors.
• Monitor propane consumption and fuel gas sampling; document results and corrective actions.
• Track outages and failure causes; support troubleshooting and return to service.
• Document maintenance activities and hazards in the safety system and ERP records.
