Job summary

Insight Global seeks an experienced Project Engineer to act as the engineering lead for major power generation capital projects in Columbus, OH. You will own technical aspects from early design through construction, commissioning, and closeout, coordinating across internal teams, A/E firms, EPC contractors, OEMs, and project partners.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (ABET-accredited) with 4+ years for Senior level or 8+ years for Principal level experience, plus strong

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree or equivalent.
• 4+ years of related engineering experience for Senior level.
• 8+ years of related engineering experience for Principal level.
• Experience supporting major capital engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities across major generation projects.
• Serve as the technical interface between internal engineering and operations teams, A/E firms, developers, EPC contractors, OEMs, and other project partners.
• Develop and manage engineering work plans, deliverables, and priorities.
• Lead engineering and design-review meetings.
• Review technical documentation and help resolve complex engineering issues.
• Coordinate responses to construction RFIs and design changes.
• Provide engineering support throughout construction and commissioning.
• Communicate engineering progress, risks, and technical recommendations to project stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Drive technical issues to resolution while balancing safety, reliability, schedule, cost, and project requirements.
