Job summary

Ameren Missouri seeks a Project Director (Power Generation) to lead the West Alton combined cycle power project with end-to-end accountability for safety, quality, cost, schedule, scope, and risk. You will serve as the primary decision-maker and executive interface, aligning stakeholders, regulators, and business objectives for an integrated project outcome.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in engineering, construction management, business, or related field.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in construction project management or execution.
• Experience leading large, complex, capital construction projects.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience and/or high-level team leadership.
• PMI PMP certification and/or Master’s degree preferred.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license in Missouri preferred.

Responsibilities

• Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Provide leadership for the development and execution of the combined cycle power generation project across lifecycle stages.
• Direct project team to meet scope, schedule, and budget goals.
• Coordinate with engineers, constructors, OEMs, and regulators to align execution with contractual and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee project cost forecasts, schedules, and risk management; take corrective actions as needed.
• Lead cross-functional coordination to deliver integrated project solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Manage contracts with engineers of record, constructors, and OEM; ensure scope and safety requirements are met.
• Provide executive-level reporting and governance to senior leadership.
