Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Project Director for the Power Market to oversee natural gas and thermal power generation projects. You will provide strategic leadership across all lifecycle phases, ensure safety, schedule, cost, and quality objectives, and manage high-level client relationships.

The role requires extensive travel and a preference for located in Atlanta, GA or Kansas City, MO, with flexibility based on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 15+ years construction management experience; 5+ years people management.
• Proven track record leading major power generation projects from pursuit through closeout.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and leadership across all project lifecycle phases.
• Drive safety culture and incident prevention; mentor staff.
• Develop and implement strategy, risk management, and client relationship plans.
• Oversee subcontractor and engineer relationship strategy and bidding processes.
• Lead preconstruction discussions and contract obligation development.
• Monitor project schedule, budget, and staffing to meet objectives.
• Represent company in client interactions and industry engagements.
