Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing is required.
• Minimum six (6) years of journeyman level experience in Power Plant Operations or equivalent in a related field.
• Willingness to work a rotating shift schedule (nights, weekends, holidays) is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct staff to operate fossil fuel fired units in a safe, efficient, and economical manner.
• Identify and implement alternative plans in response to changing market/load demands with safety and economics in mind.
• Assure generating units are operated within design parameters to meet load requirements.
• Coordinate daily and preventive maintenance tasks across multiple departments and functions.
