Job summary

Evolution Well Services Operating L is seeking a Power Generation Move Technician 1 to support mobilization, demobilization, and maintenance of gas turbines and turbine packages. You will follow safety protocols, assist with hardware installation, and contribute to pre/post-job analyses on a rotating schedule with heavy travel.

The role requires 0-3 years of mechanical/controls exposure, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid US driver’s license.

Power Generation Move Technician 1Job DescriptionDepartment: Power Generation Field ServicesJob Status: Full-TimeFLSA Status: Salary Non-ExemptReports To: Power Generation Move SupervisorAmount of Travel Required: >75%Work Schedule:Rotational (2 weeks on, 2 weeks off)Thursday – Wednesday scheduleWhen traveling on job assignments, on-call & overtime availability is required.AIP Level: 7Positions Supervised: N/APOSITION SUMMARY: The Power Generation Move Technician 1 supports the mobilization, demobilization, and maintenance of gas turbines and turbine packages. Under the direction of the on-site supervisor, they carry out tasks in alignment with safety protocols, standard operating procedures, and industry best practices.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "may.")Mobilizes and demobilizes gas turbine packages and related equipment within scheduled time constraints.Under supervision of the Power Generation Move Technician 3 and Lead, prepare and install hardware on gas turbine and air handling trailer, following installation instructions per checklist and field service lead guidance.Provides assistance with filter change outs.Provides pre-job and post-job analysis (where applicable).Understands and conducts work under the company’s safety rules, best practices, and standard operating procedures.Evaluates operational readiness of gas turbines and related equipment.Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful business operations and business continuity.POSITION REQUIREMENTSMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.Must be at least 18 years of age or older.Successfully passes all applicable general pre-employment testing including but not limited to: background check, pre-employment drug screening, pre-employment fit tests, pre-employment aptitude and/or competency assessment(s).Valid U.S. Driver’s License required. Most employment is contingent upon meeting company driving standards, including 3 year U.S. driving history and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) in accordance with Company policyWhen on assignment at the pad site, in-person, predictable attendance and daily overtime are required.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVELHigh School Diploma or GED required.0-3 years previous mechanical and/or controls experience.QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, AND ABILITIESAbility to speak, read, and comprehend fundamental English.Ability to attend, participate, and complete the scheduled New Hire Safety training, including but not limited to H2S, Powered Industrial, and basic First Aid and CPR training.Attends and completes annual safety recertification training.Ability to work within a team concept to successfully complete assigned tasks.Ability to take instruction well and positively interact with other employees within the framework of assigned work groups.Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment, adapt to change, and be receptive to new instructions.Fully knowledgeable, compliant, and takes initiative to promote and work with digital platforms including Active Learner, Paycom, KPA, and other company-mandated systems. For new hires, the ability to quickly learn company platforms.Possess basic proficiency in Microsoft platforms (Office, Teams, PowerPoint, Word, Excel).Possess the ability to learn and effectively demonstrate rig up rig down procedures within 3 months of employment.Possess the ability to learn and effectively demonstrate the steps for outside rig up/rig down procedures and coupling room techniques.Strong ability to organize daily tasks and work within defined timelines to meet operational requirements.Pays attention to detail, dedicated, and diligent in operational execution.QUALIFICATIONS FOR ADVANCEMENTDemonstrated ability to prove aptitude in technical skills and competency assessments, including journey management, vehicle inspections, successful demonstration of outdoor rig down/rig up processes, coupling room processes, and equipment alignment.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENTThe physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. When required to go to a wellsite, employees will rideshare with multiple employees. Work environment includes exposure to hazardous materials, operating conditions, audio up to 85 dB and inclement weather. Given these conditions employees are required to wear company mandated and issued personal protective equipment (PPE) (fire retardant coveralls, safety hat, steel-toe boots, safety glasses, ear protection and impact gloves) and must strictly adhere to all safety policies.
