Job summary

UE Manufacturing in Oklahoma City is seeking a Power Generation Commissioning Technician II to install, commission, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and inspect generators at customer sites.

This role requires reading schematics, performing tests, ensuring safety, and coordinating with project teams. A high school diploma or technical certification and 3+ years of power generation experience are preferred; willingness to travel is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and/or a technical degree, military training, or trade certifications.
• 3+ years of power generation, electrical systems, controls or diesel engine experience for supporting Industrial, marine, data center, utility, or critical power customers preferred.
• Experiencing servicing comparable systems (Cummins, CAT, Kohler, MTU, or equivalent).
• Knowledge of NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, NFPA 110, OSHA regulations, and applicable electrical codes.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documents.
• Ability to travel extensively and work varying schedules as business needs require.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair generators.
• Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled service on power generation equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, fuel, cooling, control, and starting system issues.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, service manuals, and technical documentation.
• Conduct load bank testing and generator performance evaluations.
• Inspect transfer switches, switchgear, controls, and related power distribution equipment.
• Document findings, repairs, parts usage, and recommendations through detailed service reports.
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and customers during installation projects.
