Job summary

United Engines, LLC. is hiring a Power Generation Field Service Technician II to perform on-site installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and inspection of power generation equipment at customer locations in the Midland, TX area.

The role requires reading electrical schematics, performing load bank testing, and maintaining safety standards per NFPA and OSHA regulations. Extensive travel and flexible hours may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or technical degree, military training, or trade certifications.
• 3+ years experience in power generation, electrical systems or diesel engines.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, NFPA 110 and OSHA regulations.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, inspect, troubleshoot, maintain and repair generators.
• Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled service on power generation equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, fuel, cooling, control, and starting system issues.
• Document findings, repairs, parts usage, and recommendations through service reports.
