Entergy Louisiana, LLC is seeking an Engineer I–Sr in Power Generation to provide engineering oversight across plants, plant support, and fleet maintenance. The role emphasizes NERC compliance, project management, and collaboration with maintenance teams.

The position supports capital/O&M projects, plant modification processes, and expert consultation on turbine, boiler, and auxiliaries. A strong candidate will have power generation experience and robust problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Power plant operations knowledge with experience at a generating station.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multi-projects.
• Good verbal and written communications skills.
• Strong interpersonal/leadership abilities.
• Expertise in Generation Protection Systems design, operation and maintenance.
• Proficient with software and database development.
• Analytical problem solving and knowledge of procedures and standards.

Responsibilities

• Be the Plant NERC Champion coordinating testing with Compliance Technical Specialists.
• Assist with self-certification processes for NERC Standards.
• Provide guidance to plant staff for NERC-related tasks per Fossil Generation procedures.
• Lead and assist in causal analysis of plant events and failures.
• Conduct project management and technical oversight.
• Coordinate betterment capital and O&M projects with stakeholders.
• Ensure plant modification processes are followed on projects.
• Provide troubleshooting for plant equipment issues.
