Job summary

Evergy is seeking an experienced civil/structural engineer to support power generation facilities. The role involves performing structural analysis, design, inspections, and project management to plan and implement facility improvements.

The successful candidate will interpret drawings, work on multi-discipline projects, and coordinate with procurement and operations. Hybrid work options and travel to sites are available, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• PE license in KS or MO or ability to obtain via comity.
• Experience with power generation facilities and industrial structures.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor to moderate structural analysis, design, and detailing.
• Evaluate foundations, overhead monorails, lifting beams and rigging lugs.
• Inspect and document structural conditions and facilitate load testing as needed.
• Review designs, shop drawings, and specifications for code compliance.
• Manage projects from scope definition to construction observing.
