Job summary

Cooper Electric Supply, LLC is seeking a Service Coordination/Dispatch professional to schedule and dispatch field technicians for generator startups and related services. You will confirm jobsite readiness and review orders, ensuring accuracy and smooth coordination with customers and project teams.

The role requires 2+ years in service coordination or related field, knowledge of electrical systems, and proficiency with Outlook/Word/Excel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical training in electrical, mechanical, power-generation, or business operations preferred.
• Two or more years of experience in service coordination, dispatch, project coordination, power generation, or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of standby generators, automatic transfer switches, electrical systems, fuel systems, and startup/commissioning processes preferred.
• Experience using service-management, dispatch, CRM, or ERP software.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch qualified field technicians for generator startups, commissioning, testing, and related service work.
• Confirm jobsite readiness before scheduling, including equipment installation, electrical connections, fuel supply, batteries, and safe site access.
• Review work orders, project scope, equipment specifications, startup checklists, and manufacturer requirements for completeness and accuracy.
• Coordinate startup dates and site requirements with customers, contractors, project managers, and field service technicians.
• Ensure technicians receive complete job packages, including site contacts, model and serial numbers, and special instructions.
• Track parts, tools, testing equipment, and other materials; escalate shortages or scheduling risks promptly.
• Monitor daily field activity, adjust schedules as priorities change, and communicate delays or conflicts to affected parties.
