Job summary

Cooper Electric Supply, LLC is seeking a coordinated service-dispatch professional to manage generator startups, inspections, and related service work from our Ocean, NJ office. You will ensure readiness, review orders, and coordinate with customers, contractors, and technicians to keep projects on schedule.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, 2+ years in service coordination or related fields, and proficiency with common software.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical training in electrical, mechanical, power-generation, or business operations preferred.
• Two or more years of experience in service coordination, dispatch, project coordination, power generation, or preferred related field.
• Knowledge of standby generators, automatic transfer switches, electrical systems, fuel systems, and startup or commissioning processes preferred.
• Experience using service-management, dispatch, customer relationship management, or enterprise resource planning software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to read work orders, equipment schedules, and technical documents.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment

Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch qualified field technicians for generator startups, commissioning, testing, and related service work.
• Confirm jobsite readiness before scheduling, including equipment installation, electrical connections, fuel supply, batteries, and safe site access.
• Review work orders, project scope, equipment specifications, startup checklists, and manufacturer requirements for completeness and accuracy.
• Coordinate startup dates and site requirements with customers, contractors, project managers, and field service technicians.
• Ensure technicians receive complete job packages, including site contacts, model and serial numbers, and special instructions.
• Track parts, tools, testing equipment, and other materials required for each assignment; elevate shortages or scheduling risks promptly.
• Monitor daily field activity, adjust schedules as priorities change, and communicate delays or conflicts to affected parties.
