Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Odessa, TX is seeking a Field Service Power Generation Technician - Level I to support on-site power generation systems.

You will perform preventive maintenance and basic repairs on generators at customer sites with minimal direction, and engage with customers in a courteous and professional manner. The role requires using specialized tools, following documented procedures, completing service documentation, and training as needed.

Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained power generation/electrical technician preferred.
• Vocational diploma from a technical institution.
• Current relevant electrical certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and basic repairs on generators at customer sites with minimal direction.
• Engage with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
• Use specialized tools and documented procedures to diagnose and complete basic repairs, including preparing parts and tools.
• Complete required service documentation such as worksheets, timesheets and warranty claims.
• Complete training in line with skill and business requirements.
• Adhere to Health, Safety & Environmental policies and report issues to supervisor.
