Job summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking a Field Service Power Generation Technician/Mechanic to diagnose and complete less complex repairs at the customer’s site in Charlotte, NC.

The role offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus to external candidates and relocation assistance, with competitive pay and benefits. You will perform generator and component repairs, engage with customers professionally, and utilize diagnostic tools while maintaining detailed service records and adhering to safety policies.

Qualifications

• Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities.
• High Voltage / Low Voltage experience.
• Capable of electrical repair with minimal supervision on power generation products.
• Basic Diesel Engine experience.
• Proficient troubleshooting on generators, transfer switches, and auxiliary components.
• Able to repair ATS systems and commission new ATS installations.

Responsibilities

• Complete repair activities on generators or components.
• Engage with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
• Perform maintenance/repairs using diagnostic tools.
• Maintain detailed service records.
• Follow Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies.
• Pursue ongoing development/certifications on Cummins products.
• Maintain own tools.
