Job description

Expert Technical Solutions has an exciting opportunity with a global consulting and engineering firm specializing in integrated solutions for clients in power delivery, power generation, renewables, and storage.

This is a fully remote, direct hire role. The successful candidate will lead electrical power system design for renewable projects by creating construction documents, specifications, BOMs, and power system studies.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

1. Client Relationship Management: Grow and manage relationships with renewables clients.
2. Apply strong technical knowledge: Grounding, protection, switchgear, substations, PV, BESS, wind, DER, microgrids, and relevant industry standards (NESC, NEC, NFPA, IEEE).
3. Project Design Execution: Lead detailed low/medium voltage renewables project design (distribution, protection) and ensure quality execution.
4. Team Leadership & Mentorship: Mentor staff, manage team resources, and perform QA/QC.
5. Project Management: Manage project schedules, budgets, and quality, including cost estimation.

Requirements

• Eight (8)+ years of experience in the design and operation of solar projects, BESS projects, microgrids, DER projects, or wind farm projects.
• Capable of performing all electrical engineering tasks associated with the project, including proposals, design, engineering calculations, cost estimating, client reviews, and construction support.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple discipline leads, PMs, and others to manage all electrical efforts for the project team while supporting other disciplines to coordinate or lead a project.
