Job summary

Actalent seeks a Validation Engineer Power Electronics to lead verification, validation, and certification activities for power conversion equipment and industrial drives. The role blends hands-on lab work with electrical analysis and cross-functional collaboration.

The engineer will design test methods, execute qualification programs, analyze results, and provide data-driven recommendations, while mentoring Validation Lab Technicians and supporting continuous lab improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in product validation or power electronics.
• Experience with high-power electrical systems up to 690 Vac and 2000 V DC.
• Ability to plan, execute, analyze and document tests.
• Strong technical writing for reports and compliance.
• Experience in regulated testing and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop verification and validation plans, procedures, and reports.
• Design and analyze electrical, thermal, environmental, reliability, and compliance tests.
• Collaborate with Product Development to define validation strategies and acceptance criteria.
• Support regulatory certification activities and prepare submittal reports.
• Coordinate with Quality and Manufacturing to align validation with manufacturing processes.
• Develop production test requirements and manufacturing verification methods.
