Job summary

Actalent in Wisconsin seeks a Test Lab Manager to own the validation lifecycle for industrial drives and energy platforms, combining deep engineering with hands-on lab leadership. You will define validation strategy, manage test programs, oversee lab safety, and partner with design, compliance, manufacturing, and quality teams to deliver robust, field-proven products.

Experience in DFMEA, thermal validation, environmental testing, and DF testing is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Experience leading validation programs for power electronics preferred.
• Knowledge of DFMEA, environmental and reliability testing.
• Ability to manage a dedicated product validation lab and teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the DVP for new power electronics products and define test coverage.
• Lead DFMEA workshops with cross-functional teams and translate risks into tests.
• Establish verification matrices linking requirements, tests, and acceptance.
• Define acceptance criteria, measurement budgets, and confidence levels.
• Design, set up, and execute qualification programs for electrical performance and thermal derating.
• Coordinate environmental testing (vibration, humidity, IP) with third parties as needed.
• Plan reliability testing (HALT/HASS, accelerated life) and dhould qualification.
• Conduct dielectric/safety testing per UL/IEC; validate fieldbus like EtherNet/IP, Modbus, CANopen.
• Analyze data, document failures, and drive root-cause using structured methods.
• Author validation reports for regulatory reviews and internal archives.
• Develop and manage the product validation lab, equipment procurement, calibration, and maintenance.
