Job summary

LayerZero Power Systems LLC is seeking a Lab Manager to lead the engineering test laboratory for a new 50–150 kW, three‑phase AC‑to‑HV DC power converter. You will build and guide a team that executes verification, performance characterization, design validation, reliability testing, and production test development.

You will collaborate with power electronics, controls, mechanical engineering, and manufacturing teams to move prototypes through qualification and production release, while driving

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Significant experience in power electronics testing, validation, or lab operations.
• Ability to lead technical teams and coordinate complex test programs.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the test team responsible for converter testing, troubleshooting, validation, and test automation.
• Establish laboratory capabilities including AC sources, DC loads, analyzers, scopes, HV instrumentation, and safety systems.
• Own the verification program with plans, schedules, and reports covering efficiency, power quality, and thermal performance.
• Lead product validation, failure analysis, and root-cause investigations with cross‑functional teams.
• Oversee testing for protection, fault conditions, and safe operation; coordinate certification requirements.
• Develop automated test procedures and data analysis to improve coverage and productivity.
• Guide production test development and ensure readiness for high-volume production.
