Job summary

Astranis is seeking a Power Electronics Intern for Summer 2027 in Northern California. Interns work with the power engineering team to build and test flight hardware, design test equipment, and bring up designs in the lab, with opportunities to write Python code for performance evaluation and automated testing.

Current students pursuing a B.S. in electrical or computer engineering will gain hands-on experience on challenging projects powering satellites, with roles designed for a twelve-week

Qualifications

• Pursuing a B.S. in electrical or computer engineering (or equivalent).
• Interest in learning about, designing, and working with power electronics systems.
• Demonstrated ability to design, build, and test hardware from scratch.

Responsibilities

• Work with the power engineering team to build and test flight hardware.
• Design test equipment to validate designs under stressed conditions.
• Bring up and debug designs in the lab.
• Write code to evaluate performance and automate testing of satellite hardware.
• Coordinate assembly, integration and environmental test efforts.
