Job summary

Astranis is seeking a Power Electronics Intern for Summer 2027 in Northern California. You will work with the power engineering team to build and test flight hardware, design test equipment, and bring up and debug designs in the lab.

You will also write code to evaluate performance and automate testing of satellite hardware, coordinating assembly and environmental testing efforts. This is an internships role with twelve-week duration for students currently enrolled at a four-year university.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a B.S./B.E. in electrical or computer engineering or related field.
• Interest in learning about power electronics systems design.
• Passion for hardware development in fast-paced environments.
• Proven ability to design, build and test hardware from scratch.
• U.S. Citizenship or Green Card is required.

Responsibilities

• Work with the power engineering team to build and test flight hardware.
• Design test equipment to validate designs under varied stressed conditions.
• Bring up and debug designs in the lab.
• Write code to evaluate performance and automate testing of satellite hardware.
• Coordinate assembly, integration and environmental test efforts.
