Job summary

Astranis in San Francisco is seeking a Power Electronics Intern for Summer 2027. This twelve-week, hourly internship offers hands-on hardware design, testing, and software tasks as part of the power engineering team.

You will build and test flight hardware, design test equipment, write evaluation code, and help bring up designs in the lab. You should be pursuing a BS in electrical or computer engineering and be eligible for US work authorization.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a B.S. in electrical or computer engineering.
• Interest in learning power electronics systems.
• Hands-on hardware design and testing in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to design, build, and test hardware from scratch.
• U.S. Citizenship or Green Card.
• Apply even if not meeting all criteria.

Responsibilities

• Work with the power engineering team to build and test flight hardware.
• Design test equipment to validate designs under stressed conditions.
• Design prototype circuits.
• Bringup and debug designs in the lab.
• Write code to evaluate performance and automate testing of satellite hardware.
• Coordinate assembly, integration and environmental test efforts.
