Job summary

Atrium Staffing LLC is seeking an Engineering Manager - Manufacturing for a well-established manufacturing client in New Jersey. You will lead a multidisciplinary team of electrical and mechanical engineers to design, develop, qualify, and support advanced power conversion products, balancing technical leadership with people management in a fast-paced environment.

The role covers new product development and sustaining engineering, requires 10+ years in electrical engineering and power

Qualifications

10+ years in electrical engineering and product development.
Authorized to work in the United States.
Strong background in power electronics or switching power converter design.
Minimum 3 years of technical leadership or engineering management experience.
Experience leading engineering teams and systems engineering.
Experience with requirements management, verification planning, and product qualification.
Ability to balance technical leadership with project and people management.
Experience conducting RCA, failure investigations, and corrective actions.
Strong prioritisation, organisational and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and customer-facing presentation skills.
Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of electrical and mechanical engineers.
Manage engineering priorities, resources, and project execution.
Serve as the senior technical authority for design and system architecture.
Oversee the development of new products from concept through qualification and production release.
Drive engineering performance, throughput, and continuous process improvement.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective action activities related to design, testing, and field performance.
Approve design documentation, engineering changes, test plans, qualification reports, and analyses.
Coordinate cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, operations, and supply chain.
Support customer-facing technical discussions, design reviews, and proposals.
Manage sustaining engineering, field support, and component obsolescence.
Establish and improve engineering processes, standards, and best practices.
Manage select engineering projects from planning through completion.
