Actalent in Wauwatosa, WI is seeking a Hardware Power Electronics Engineer to design and develop next-generation power electronics for solar, energy storage, and EV charging. You will lead projects from concept to production, using SiC and GaN devices, high-frequency converters, and robust digital control in a collaborative environment.
The role requires hands-on hardware design, PCB collaboration, EMI/EMC and thermal management, UL/CE compliance, and MATLAB/Simulink modeling.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering required.
- Minimum 4 years of related experience in power electronics and control systems design.
- Strong experience in DC-DC and AC-DC conversion.
- Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink for modeling and analysis.
- Experience with PCB design and high-voltage power systems.
Responsabilités
- Design and develop power electronics for high-frequency applications using SiC and GaN devices.
- Lead full product development lifecycle from concept to production.
- Develop digital control algorithms for power converter systems.
- Ensure UL/CE compliance and EMC mitigation.
- Collaborate with PCB layout, mechanical, and sales teams.
