Job summary

Chariot Defense Inc. is seeking a power electronics engineer to own the electrical architecture across energy storage and vehicle power systems. You will shape hardware from DC/DC/DC/AC converters to protection and isolation, contributing from prototype to production.

You will work closely with mechanical and firmware teams, travel to test sites, and help deliver robust, high-performance power modules for defense applications.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering is required; M.S. is a plus.
• 2–5 years in power electronics hardware design, incl. low/high voltage conversion.
• End-to-end ownership from topology to production.
• Hands-on with protection circuits and high-voltage isolation.
• Familiar with DC/DC and DC/AC topologies and control loops.
• Experience meeting EMI/EMC MIL-STD-461 requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle design of power electronics subsystems (DC/DC, DC/AC).
• Incorporate GaN/SiC inverter systems for high-efficiency conversion.
• Design for low EMI/RFI; meet MIL-STD-461 requirements.
• Oversee PCB layout with focus on thermal management and EMI mitigation.
• Hardware bring-up, testing, and validation using lab equipment.
• Collaborate with mechanical and firmware teams on integration and specs.
