Job summary

Aleron is seeking a Hardware Power Electronics Engineer to join a Milwaukee-area team delivering advanced power electronics for EV charging, energy storage and data centers. You will lead full lifecycle development of high-power designs with SiC/GaN devices, FPGA controls, and robust testing under tight schedules.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in power electronics, strong PCB and thermal experience, and a track record of delivering designs to production.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years in power electronics design.
Strong understanding of high-frequency power stages, EMI/EMC, thermal management, and PCB layout.
Experience with lab testing tools and thermal testing.

Responsibilities

Develop next generation power electronics for solar, energy storage, EV charging and test apps using SiC and GaN mosfets.
Lead design of high-frequency bidirectional DC-DC converters, AC-DC grid-tie inverters and resonant converters.
Lead development from concept to productization within aggressive timelines.
Develop digital control algorithms and innovative magnetics.
Collaborate with PCB layout designers and mechanical teams for high-density power designs.
Ensure UL/CE compliance and lead EMC activities.
