Job summary

Accounting Search is seeking a Power Electronics Engineer in San Jose to help develop high-density, MW-scale power conversion platforms for data centers and energy infrastructure.

You will join a newly formed R&D team focusing on AC/DC, DC/DC, and HVDC modules, prototype development, and verification in a lab with global collaboration across the US, Europe, and Asia.

Travel about 20–25% with relocation support for North America-based candidates; on-site in San Jose, CA.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (Power Electronics / Power Conversion preferred).
• Hands-on experience with AC/DC, DC/DC, or inverter-based power systems.
• Strong foundation in lab validation, testing, debugging, and system-level optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design and evaluate high-power conversion systems (kW → MW).
• Execute topology trade-offs, efficiency optimization, and thermal/EMI analysis.
• Perform hands-on lab bring-up, testing, and debugging.
• Develop prototype and reference designs (no production ownership).
• Lead deep technical troubleshooting beyond FAE-level issues.
