Novax Recruitment Ltd. in the San Francisco Bay Area is seeking a Staff Power Electronics Engineer to lead the design of high-power converters for energy storage and power systems.
The role focuses on taking complex hardware from concept through prototyping, validation and production, with system voltages from 800V up to 25kV and power levels from 10kW to 500kW.
Staff Power Electronics Engineer | Energy Storage
San Francisco Bay Area, CA | 100% Onsite
$210,000-$230,000 Base Salary (depending on experience)
I'm partnering with an innovative US-based energy technology company to recruit an experienced Staff Power Electronics Engineer to help develop the next generation of high-power energy storage and power conversion systems.
This is a hands-on technical leadership opportunity for an engineer who enjoys taking complex power electronics hardware from initial concept through design, prototyping, validation and production.
You’ll be responsible for designing and developing high-voltage, high-power AC/DC and DC/DC converter systems, working on applications ranging from 10kW to 500kW.
The work involves challenging power conversion applications, with system voltages spanning approximately 800V to 25kV DC, depending on the architecture.
You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop efficient, reliable and manufacturable hardware while providing technical guidance to other engineers.
We're particularly interested in engineers with experience in:
You don't necessarily need energy storage experience. Engineers with strong high-power converter design experience from adjacent industries are encouraged to apply.
You’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of technically challenging hardware development, influence power conversion architecture and work on technology supporting the future of energy storage.
This is a senior individual contributor position with meaningful technical ownership, rather than a people-management role.
