Overview

We’re building the next generation of small electric vehicles—efficient, innovative, and fun. We’re seeking a Sr Staff Power Electronics Engineer to lead the design and development of high-performance power electronics across multiple platforms. This is a hands-on, technically deep role with full ownership from concept to production.

Responsibilities

• Leading the design, simulation, validation, and production ramp of power conversion systems (48–100V, 1–10kW).
• Driving component selection, schematic capture, PCB layout, and worst-case analysis for critical circuits.
• Collaborating closely with firmware, controls, and safety teams to deliver robust, high-performance solutions.
• Owning testing, integration, and DFMEA/PFMEA documentation, working with labs and contract manufacturers.
• Pushing boundaries on efficiency, cost, and system integration in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in power electronics design, ideally traction inverters, with leadership or DRI responsibilities.
• Expertise in MOSFET, GaN, SiC switches, BLDC actuators, and position sensors.
• Strong analog & digital circuit skills, hands-on lab experience up to 1kV.
• Proficiency with LTspice, PLECS, Matlab.
• Proven track record of delivering products to market.
• Passion for EV, micromobility, or robotics.

Compensation

Base pay range: $200,000.00/yr - $250,000.00/yr. The actual pay will be based on skills and experience; discuss with your recruiter for details.
