Job summary

RTX invites engineering students to join the Effector Analog & Power (EAP) Team in Tucson for an internship focused on power electronics design and system-level integration. You will work on non-isolated and isolated power converters, supporting from concept through testing.

The role emphasizes hands-on design, simulation, and documentation, with guidance from senior engineers and opportunities to present results to program leadership. This is an onsite internship in the US.

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Electrical or related STEM and enrolled through the internship/co-op.
Minimum of 60 credit hours by the start of the internship/co-op.
Experience with non-isolated converter topologies: buck, boost, buck-boost.
Familiarity with MATLAB, MathCAD, Mathematica, or similar tools.
Coursework in analog electronics design: FETs/BJTs, op-amps, filters, termination, comparators.

Responsibilities

Design, analyze, simulate, test, and document power conversion circuitry (non-isolated and isolated).
Assist in circuit card development from requirements definition to initial integration testing.
Guide ECAD drafters through layout and routing with senior engineer support.
Contribute as an individual in a small team and grow technically.
Present work products to leadership clearly.
