Job summary

RTX’s Effector Power (EP) Team in Tucson, AZ, seeks an Electrical Test Engineer I to design, test, and troubleshoot circuit-card power electronics, validating them against project requirements.

The role requires a bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, experience with buck/boost converters, and proficiency in MATLAB or similar tools. Onsite position with strong benefits and clearance potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field.
• Experience with non-isolated converter topologies: buck, boost, buck-boost.
• Experience with MATLAB, MathCAD, Mathematica or similar tools.
• Experience with analog electronics design (FETs/BJTs, op-amps, filters, terminations).

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, simulate, test, and document power conversion circuitry focusing on non-isolated and isolated converters.
• Support circuit-card development from requirements to initial integration testing.
• Develop test procedures, perform data capture, and analyze results to verify compliance with requirements.
• Guide ECAD drafters on layout and routing and assist in layer stackup definition.
